A lot of lucky Coolangatta Tweed residents will be going away these holidays, but for those who are staying at home, there is still plenty to see and do in our own backyard.  We are very fortunate to live in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia, so there is plenty to get up to.

So why not enjoy your time in Coolangatta Tweed during the holidays, and pretend to be a tourist while taking part in one or more of the followings things to do:

•    Head to one of our beautiful beaches to lap up the sun and the sand during your break (just don’t forget the sunscreen!).

•    Get up to something adventurous with the Coolangatta Adventure Crew.

•    Go for a drive and pretend to be a kid for a day at one of the Gold Coast’s theme parks.

•    Spend a day out fishing in the Tweed River.

•    Enjoy Coolangatta’s nightlife around Marine Parade and Griffith Street.

•    Go for a trek in one of the rainforests in the region. Take your pick from Mt Warning, the Border Ranges, Nightcap Mountain, Tooloom, Richmond Range, Toonumbar, Mebbin and Koreelah National Parks.

•    Visit Tropical Fruit World for some of the world’s freshest tropical fruit.

•    Enjoy a long lunch at one of the many wonderful cafes and restaurants in the area.

•    Spend a day shopping in the heart of Coolangatta or maybe at Tweed City Shopping Centre.

•    Enjoy a game of golf at the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Course.
